Meidan Hotel, Lagos

The Meidan Hotel, originally designed as an H.F.P. Office complex, was conceived through the flexible, business-orientated thinking that has characterized the company throughout the 25 years of its existence. VGC residents entertained guests, many from abroad and H.F.P. showed them that an on-site hotel facility could accommodate their long-term guests at prices much lower than rented accommodation or adding extra rooms to a house. The Meidan Hotel is owned by Meidan Hotels and Apartments Ltd. (MHA), another subsidiary of Globe International Holdings S.A. It serves both the upper end of the Lagos business community - oil magnates, entrepreneurs and bankers - as well as tourists looking for first class relaxation in a luxurious environment. It is on par with international 5-star hotels, and has created standards unprecedented in Nigeria. The Meidan Hotel is not just a business and convention center.
